Hiring a private rock guide allows you to choose the time you start and end your climb program, and lets you focus on exactly the type of climbing or the climbing skills training that you are interested in. We have American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Certified Rock Guides available upon request to take you up just about any route in the Leavenworth area. Most of the rock guiding we do in Leavenworth is organized privately and we can organize any program listed on our website as a privately guided program. Itineraries other than those listed on our website are also available. Groups or individuals welcome.

John Race and Olivia Cussen have both received full IFMGA/UIAGM certification by completing their AMGA certifications in the Rock, Alpine, and Ski guiding disciplines. The standard at which guides are certified in these programs is high enough that they have been certified to guide routes "on-sight", which means that they routinely guide in spots that they have not previously visited. All guides do need a permit to guide anywhere on public lands, but in most cases this can be arranged through NMS's own permits or through those held by other guide services with which NMS is allied.
